Musica Kremsmünster

The sponsoring association of Kremsegg Castle - Musica Kremsmünster - was founded in 1996. Its aim is the fostering of musical culture.

Its functions include:

• close co-operation with the government of Upper Austria and other regional authorities in the framework of their respective responsibilities

• the collection, care, maintenance and public presentation of musical instruments and documents of special historical and musicological significance

• co-operation with universities and academic institutions; education and further education in co-operation with universities and other education establishments

• the cultivation of music and the promotion of cultural events

• the publication of literature about the cultural and academic activities and the collections of the association

• the cultivation of social contacts in the framework of events at Kremsegg Castle

• the cultivation of contacts with institutes and associations with similar or comparable ideas and ideals, as well as national and international music teaching institutions (scholars, teachers, students, artists)

• the structuring and maintenance of the spaces and fixtures required to fulfill the aims of the association
